The Autumn 22 edition of the Social Issues Bulletin is available

Written by Joel Upton

The Affinity Social Issues Team publish a Bulletin three times a year that aims to inform the church on matters of social, ethical and legal concern for Christians. Each issue is free to download.

This Autumn edition of the Social Issues Bulletin opens with an in-depth look at a Christian view of risk and how we need to avoid being drawn into pursuing a low-risk, safe way of life which impacts our work for Christ. Pastor Regan King next provides churches with the challenge of stamping out anti-Semitism in his article titled We Must Deal with the Antisemitism in Our Churches. King lays out how evangelical churches need to get their terms and theology right concerning Israel and the Jewish people. Crossteach guest writes our next article highlighting how Christianity being taught in schools is for the common good of society. The closing article provides us with an update on the situation in Scotland, specifically on how the Scottish Government Advisory Group has called for bans on the ordinary work of churches. It’s a startling Bill which we must pray isn’t brought into law. Lastly, the Christian Legal Centre provide us with the Latest News of Significant Individual Cases before the Bulletin closes with two book reviews: Tax Law, Religion, and Justice and The Case against the Sexual Revolution.
