This edition opens with a piece on how Christians should view taxation, Rev. Thomas Penman walks us through the various opinions on the matter and offers a very well-considered view. Sharon James then explores some of the lies the world wants us to believe in a piece titled ‘Bad Ideas, Bitter Fruit’. We then have a very practical piece for Christian parents from Steve Beegoo (Director of Education at Christian Concern), this is followed by a piece from Ciarán Kelly (Christian Institute) titled: The ‘gay cake case’ is finally over which gives an update and reflection on the Ashers Baking Company legal case. We then have a wonderful piece from Heidi Crowter which starts: ‘Hi, my name is Heidi, I am 26 and I happen to have Down’s syndrome but that doesn’t hold me back from living a fun and vibrant life…’ Heidi talks about how she came to faith and why she is taking the UK government to court. Simon Calvert (Christian Institute) gives us an update on how the various UK governments are responding to calls to ban ‘conversion therapy’. The Bulletin closes with three book reviews, Dr John Ling gives us another of his very informative summaries of all things life and Covid and we end with a breakdown of the current legal cases being supported by Christian Institute and the Christian Legal Centre.
A packed edition which is definitely not to be missed!
