National mission or evangelism

Solas exists to faithfully and effectively communicate the gospel of Christ in today’s culture and help others to do the same. We are evangelical, and work across denominations.

We work in three main ways:

1) Evangelism.
We help churches, university Christian unions etc to run effective evangelistic (and pre-evangelism) events. We supply evangelists/apologists who love engaging non-Christians with the gospel and launching things like Christianity Explored courses. We especially focus on outreach which takes place outside the four walls of the church, in coffee-shops, student unions etc. We do evangelism all over the UK, and sometimes beyond.

2) Evangelism-training.
Equipping, inspiring and encouraging the church in evangelism is important. We run ‘Confident Christianity conferences’, and work with churches and CU’s in all kinds of contexts to help them grow in everything from conversational evangelism, to handling objections to the faith.

3) Resources
Solas publishes a range of resources to help equip Christians to share their faith, and to engage non-Christians with the gospel. These include Short Answers (short apologetic videos), a range of books, the PEPtalk Podcast for Christians, a a range of online resources.
