Brief description
Mission statement: “Preaching the gospel, making disciples.” We seek to glorify God by making disciples through gospel-centered worship, gospel-centered service and gospel-centered outreach in and throughout Chingford. Grow: Help the current members grow in the depth of their relationship with Christ. Sound bible teaching is primary to achieve this growth! Weekly Bible study Expository Preaching of God’s Word Mentoring and Discipleship programs Work toward monthly in person fellowship meals, and times of worship as a church Children’s work: As the church grows, we will want to build a curriculum that is age-appropriate and parallels the weekly Sermon. This means that the family unit grows together as we walk through scripture. Train members and sharpen them so that they can use the skills they already have to teach young people about God. Lord willing, have a weekly meeting for young people who are a part of the church/community. (This is a chance for young people to bring friends who can learn about Christ) We want to use a multi-generational approach. Evangelise: Meet people where they are. Street evangelism. Coffee shop conversations. Meeting the neighbours (knocking on houses around the church.) Hold community engagement events from time to time. Outreach: Caring for those in need. This is something that will need to be researched and built over time. This area will best grow as the church grows both in depth and number. This is an outpouring of Spirit
