Abbey Baptist Church, Abingdon

Abbey Baptist Church is a multigenerational church close to the centre of the historic town of Abingdon. We meet together twice on a Sunday to “declare the praises of him who call you out of darkness and into his wonderful light.” We love to have visitors and to welcome anyone who has recently moved into the area.

The building is a little tucked away in the old Abbey grounds, close to the Unicorn Theatre. The morning service includes Venturers for primary-aged children and we have lunch together on the last Sunday of the month. If you are visiting on the last Sunday you are invited to stay and eat with us! We sing a range of songs and use the NIV as our church Bible.

Our midweek Connect Groups provide an opportunity to encourage and build each other up in smaller groups. These alternate with Connect Together where we gather midweek as a church to spend longer in prayer.
