Churches and Mission Agency Day Conference – 20 May

One of the ways Affinity wishes to help churches in their fulfilment of the Great Commission is to facilitate constructive interaction between them and mission agencies. Gospel partnership requires supportive relationships and good channels of communication.

To that end we have organised another day conference next month where leaders and representatives of Affinity Mission Agency Associates will join with church leaders and those concerned about mission to talk and pray together. The theme will be ‘Sending cross-cultural missionaries or supporting national workers?’ which will consider the pros and cons of these two models of cross-cultural mission today.

We are very pleased to have two key contributors to this event: John McDonald, Mission Coordinator for Grace Baptist Mission and Andy Lines, Mission Director of Crosslinks, will each give their perspective on this issue. There will be plenty of time for discussion and sharing fellowship together, as well as reports from churches and agencies attending – and prayer.

We trust that it will be a very productive and encouraging day and would like representatives of Affinity churches and agencies to join us.

We are meeting on Monday 20 May at Highbury Baptist Church in London (one tube stop from King’s Cross) from 11am to 3pm with coffee available from 10.30am. Please bring your own lunch. There is no charge for this conference. Please let us know if you intend to send someone (or come yourself) by contacting us at office@affinity.org.uk
