Growing up… growing wise @home

Our friends at Lovewise have a newly-updated resource available for parents to use with their children – especially useful for these days in which we live when the vast majority of our children are being home-schooled! A great opportunity for Christian parents to address some of the issues covered in the presentation with their children.

Growing up… growing wise @home gives access to six web-based presentations designed for parents to use at home with their own children. Each presentation includes a series of images, facts and diagrams to help your child understand the topics. The accompanying parents’ booklet contains detailed information and guidance to prepare them to talk through the visual presentations with their child.

Module Titles:

• Introducing Puberty: Introduces puberty and discusses when, why and how the changes of puberty take place.
• Puberty & Girls: Explains the changes in a girl’s body during puberty and how to deal with them.
• Puberty & Boys: Explains the changes in a boy’s body during puberty and how to deal with them.
• Love & Marriage (Part 1): Teaches about love, ‘going out’, marriage and how a baby develops from conception to birth.
• Love & Marriage (Part 2): Covers why it is important to keep sexual intimacy for marriage.
• Dangers of the Internet: Prompts discussion about the internet, social media and also the dangers of online gaming and pornography.
