Affinity member Christian Safeguarding Services are holding a training day on mental health awareness in the local church.

This full-day event in Birmingham on 6 July will cover the sensitive issues around mental health, addressing the stigma, uncertainty and fear that is often present in some of our churches.

CSS seek to help churches, in a safe and nurturing environment to talk through mental health from a biblical perspective and facilitate open conversations around some of those concerns and apply principles in ways to support and to help and encourage.

Topics covered include: Depression, Anxiety, Anxiety disorders, Suicide ,Self harm, Eating disorders, Bipolar, Psychosis & Dementia.
