Mission Care becomes Affinity’s newest Associate Member

We are delighted that Mission Care has joined the Affinity family. Mission Care is based in the south London area and has, for the past 110 years, been providing local residential and nursing care to vulnerable adults.

Mission Care operates five care homes across Bromley and Southwark, all of which are committed to providing a high standard of person-centred care to their residents and their family and friends. They encourage independence and freedom of choice, and promote the dignity and individuality of all of those in their care. Four of the homes are registered to provide full nursing care to older people with elderly or frail nursing needs, or older people living with dementia. The fifth home is a registered residential home to provide care for younger adults living with physical disabilities. Respite care and intermediate care is also available.

Since their foundation, Mission Care has always sought to serve people’s physical, emotional and spiritual needs, and share the important message of God’s saving love through Jesus Christ. The social and cultural landscape in which they operate has changed over the decades, and so too has their outreach, but the Bible’s vision of human life and genuine love continues to inspire and govern everything they do. Mission Care take seriously Christ’s command to love our neighbour as ourselves and to share the life-changing message of salvation through Jesus.

Mission Care has always had three charitable objectives. These are:

• To relieve poverty
• To relieve sickness
• To advance the Christian Faith

Their charitable objectives are firmly rooted in their Christian faith. They want to share the love of Christ in everything that they do, by caring for their residents’ physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
