Salt and Light Conference – Saturday 8 March, Birmingham

We are pleased to announce that in March we are holding a day conference on the theme of ‘Salt and Light’ at Monyhull Church in Birmingham. The church is increasingly marginalised in the UK and so it is important, both for our witness to the life-changing power of the gospel and to show the world that the church is a force for good, that we engage with our communities in ways that both preach the gospel and also uphold righteousness and bring hope and help to our fractured society.

We have gathered a team of experienced practitioners who seek to do just this in various spheres of life. They will help us to condsider the opportunties that we have in our day to be salt and light to our world and to glorify God in the process. We look at issues of old age, helping children and young people from homes without fathers, enagaging with the homosexual community (and those within our churches who struggle with same-sex attraction), bioethical issues, (particularly at the beginning and end of life), and how to develop a church strategy to care for and serve our communities. Our main speaker is Ray Evans, Senior Pastor of Grace Community Church in Bedford. The rest of the details of what promises to be a great day can be found below.

Bring a group from your church and be inspired to make a difference in your community in 2014.
