The new issue of Foundations Theological Journal is now online
We are pleased to announce that the latest issue of our theological journal Foundations is now available for reading online or free download as a PDF.
Martin Salter is the new editor and we are delighted to have him on board as he develops the ministry of Foundations in the coming months and years.
In this issue Jamie Grant looks at one of the thorny questions of Old Testament interpretation: how should we understand the imprecatory psalms today? Then Heather Harper considers a ‘theology of isolation’ as seen through the lens of the book of Job. Next, Jon Putt turns his attention to issues of culture, class and ethnicity and how a right theological understanding of them should inform church life today. Then Fiona Gibson delves into the writings of Evagrius of Pontus, one of the lesser-known church fathers, to consider the sin of acedia (listlessness) and the practical remedies he suggests. Finally, Daniel Stevens reviews the new Greek New Testament that has recently come out of Tyndale House in Cambridge.
Along with various useful book reviews, we have another edition of Foundations which is stimulating, challenging and informative. We hope you enjoy it!
